Everything you need to know about taking homeopathic medicines correctly, what to expect during treatment, and how to achieve the best results.

You must observe a minimum 30-minute gap both before and after taking your remedy. Avoid eating, drinking (except plain water), brushing teeth, using strongly-scented products, smoking, or consuming stimulants.
Water is always permitted. Nothing else — no food, tea, coffee, juice, mint, or strong flavours — should be consumed within this 30-minute window on either side of your dose.
Coffee — even decaffeinated — is a known antidote to homeopathic remedies. Its stimulating properties can completely neutralise the action of the medicine, rendering your treatment ineffective. Patients undergoing homeopathic treatment are strongly advised to avoid all forms of coffee (including instant coffee, espresso, cappuccino, and decaf) throughout the course of treatment. Herbal teas and plain water are safe alternatives.
Never use any metal spoon, cup, or utensil when handling or taking homeopathic medicine. Metal — including stainless steel, silver, or aluminium — can interfere with the subtle energetic properties of the remedy. Use the plastic cap of the medicine bottle, a clean glass, a paper envelope, or a non-metal spoon. Similarly, the cup or glass used to take medicine with water should be made of glass or food-grade plastic, never metal.
The Organon of Medicine, written by Dr Samuel Hahnemann (1755–1843), is the philosophical and practical foundation of classical homeopathy. Every consultation at Musa Homeopathic is conducted in accordance with these timeless principles.
Homeopathic treatment is a process. Some patients experience a brief initial aggravation — a positive sign the remedy is working, typically passing within 24–72 hours.
Healing follows a pattern: symptoms improve from inside out, from above downward, and in reverse order of appearance.
Acute conditions respond within hours to days. Chronic conditions require weeks to months of consistent treatment.
Homeopathic treatment is a complementary medical system and does not replace conventional medical care. In emergencies please contact your GP or NHS 111 immediately. Always inform your GP if receiving homeopathic treatment alongside conventional medication.
